Two decades have already passed since three self-made individuals with family ties, shared memories and extended experience in gastronomy, decided to join forces to meet their vision. It was in the middle of 90s when Takis Christofileas, his younger brother Dimitris Christofileas, and their cousin Diomedes Kapsalis founded the ‘Dipnosofistirion Catering’. Inspired of the symposiums in ancient Greece they set a goal to create something truly unique in the area of catering.
The «menu» proposed dedicated effort, careful production, attention to details, unnegotiable standards and ingredients of the finest quality. Always acting as a reference point, Mani in Southern Peloponnese (their birthplace) has blessed them with gastronomy values and rare food principles, such as tradition, pure raw materials, independent manufacturers, personified services from real people and deep knowledge. All these characteristics have become the basic ingredients of the successful «recipe» giving to the ‘Dipnosofistirion Catering’ its remarkable reputation.
All three share the same vision: The quality, the Hellenic tradition, authenticity, originality, sincerity and confidence to transform any social event, dinner or gathering in a unique experience, in a ritual that will delight all the senses and promote food as an enjoyable process of socialization that has to do with the soul rather thαn the stomach.
